Not Your Grandfather's Rotary
When you think of Rotary Clubs, what comes to mind? We hope it’s the fantastic work clubs do in their neighborhoods and the world as one of the largest non-profits globally. However, most of our own members thought of old white men sitting around tables. At HARC, that’s not the case and we hope it never becomes that way.
Our club consists of vibrant people bound together by a vision of helping others. Each person contributes different skill sets and qualities that make the club better. We value diverse members with varied lived experiences. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are fundamentals of our operations. Multiple membership options provide flexibility for people to be involved. Gatherings start with a cheers and members share good news from their lives. When together, there's laughter, active discussions, smiles, and feeling re-energized. We're a fun group that has meaningful discussions, too. We lean into discussing challenging topic involving diversity, equity, and inclusion that foster learning opportunities. HARC started in 2019 as a satellite club of the Souhegan Valley Rotary Happy Hour Club and is part of Rotary District 7870 and Rotary International. Having direction connections of over 1.4 million Rotarians, the possibilities of ways to engage with Rotary are almost endless. Some that come to mind are local conferences, professional development, international gatherings, networking, and fellowships. |
